Jabba’s Land Cruiser
Found on Amazon.com a full size drivable replica Jabba’s Land Cruiser.
This has probably made the rounds before, but it’s new to me.
Couple of shots from C4
Here’s a few more photos from C4. First up the group picture after the droid parade.
Here’s a video of the parade itself
Next up, me in the replica Tantive IV hallway
and finally me driving R2 around

Got my pass today for Celebration 4
It only feels like last week that I was posting something similar about C3.
They did a real bad job of laminating it, but I’ll be swapping it for a volunteer pass anyway.
R2 Building Update
In the last month I’ve made a lot of progress on my R2. Still hoping to get him running around to take to C4 at the end of May.

No commentsOwn an R2-D2 Mailbox
Ok, so it might not be exactly a real full sized R2-D2 mailbox, but it’s as close as you’re gonna get without serving time.
Lucas Online has posted instructions on how you can build a cool papercraft 3-D model of the mailbox. All you need to do is print out the handy PDF they’ve made available and build your own droid.

1 commentUSPS R2D2 - What’s inside?
Now that I have the new blog up and running I guess I should go back and post some recent news.
A few weeks ago USPS and Lucas rolled out 400 Artoo-Detoo post boxes all over the country. We’re lucky enough to have a few in the Bay Area and I found this one just off Union Square in San Francisco. It’s on the corner of Powell and Post across from the Disney store - You can’t miss it.
I got lucky and the USPS guy played along and allowed me to check the inside of the strange astromech. My picture was even featured on SW.com.
If you’ve found one in your neighborhood don’t forget to add yourself to the offical R2D2 Frapper Map.
More photos in my R2 Gallery and the offical USPS Jedi website can be found here.
Don’t forget to vote for R2 as your favorite Star Wars stamp.
No commentsGallery Now Live
The new gallery / photo album is now live. I should have a lot of the pictures from the old site as well as new stuff.
I using gallery2 a free open source tools, and it should allow me to more easily add new content and manage it.
In the coming weeks I’ll be updating and adding more pictures of my collection and blogging about some of my favorite pieces.
No commentsStormtrooper Blaster Holster Tutorial
The number one page on my old Star Wars website was probably the stormtrooper blaster tutorial.
It was the first thing I made for my stormtrooper costume. Most people buy a leather holster, but being vegan I wouldn’t do that, so had to come up with my own. This was probably the first thing I’d ever sewed
I thought it might be a good idea to create a post for it here in case it’s lost in the shuffle.
